Ongoing Projects

My research takes place in diverse ecosystems, ranging from the highly industrialized Galveston Bay estuary to the remote central Amazon. Using mark-recapture models and spatial ecology tools, I study populations to assess the importance of anthropogenic threats. I also conduct human-dimensions research through interview methods, to understand the drivers of threats and inform conservation initiatives.
